Membership Types

A brief description of our dues structure and membership classes follows:

ACTIVE MEMBER: Any person who subscribes to the Code of Conduct, is a resident of Mississippi or Alabama and is employed in the state of Mississippi or Alabama as a proprietor, partner or employee of a legally established business selling photographic goods or services to the public, or from industrial photography, and is not a member of another state photographic association, except as an out-of-state member. DUES $145

SILVER ACTIVE MEMBER; Includes all the rights and privileges of Active Membership. above, but also includes registration fees to the PPMA's Spring & Fall seminars and annual convention. DUES $245 (available to current members between December 1 and January 31)

ASSOCIATE: An employee or spouse of an Active Member. Dues $100

STUDENT: One who is enrolled in a recognized school or institution with photography as their major course of study. DUES $25

SUSTAINING: One who is engaged in the sale of goods or services to the photographic profession. DUES (Call for current rate)

OUT-OF-STATE: One who is not a resident of Mississippi or Alabama, but who fulfills the requirements for full membership and is a member of his home state association. DUES $30

RETIRED: Any person retired from active professional photography. DUES $30

PROVISIONAL ASSOCIATE: Any person is eligible to become a provisional associate, provided that there is presented evidence of business legality. Provisional associates must raise their status to Active or Associate within two years or they will be automatically dropped from the rolls of the association without any requirement for further notification. DUES $145

1. Reference from an active member in good standing on his letterhead.
2. All appropriate blanks on the reverse of this form completed.
3. Signed Code of Ethics
4. Correct Annual Dues (see above).

Student Associates and Sustaining Associates comply with items 2, 3 and 4 above.

Out-of-State Associates comply with items 2 and 4 and send copy of resident state membership card.

Renewing members comply with items 2 and 4.
Out-of-state members comply with items 2 and 4 and send copy of resident state membership card.
New members must comply with items 1 2, 3, and 4.
A $35 reinstatement fee will be charged to all not renewed by January 31 each year. This also includes any membership that has lapsed.
